Dr. Tillmann Lang Founder – CEO For many years, Tillmann has been working on the question of how to make the world more sustainable - and the role finance has in this transition. Before founding Yova, Tillmann worked for more than 6 years at the strategy consultancy McKinsey & Company. In addition, Tillmann was CFO of Benefiit, a network of impact investors and is founding director of the Sustainability-in-Business-Lab of ETH Zurich. He holds a PhD from ETH Zürich and studied mathematics and computer science at the universities of Heidelberg and Santiago de Chile. In his free time Tillmann enjoys skiing, mountain biking and other outdoor activities.
Erik Gloerfeld Founder – Investment platform Erik has been interested in sustainable management for 7 years. Before founding Yova, he was an independent entrepreneur for more than a year, launching Lapel & Tie project and expanding the GreenBuzz initiative. He is also a founding member of collaboratio helvetica, a platform and community for systemic change in Switzerland. Prior to that, Erik worked at McKinsey & Company for more than two years. Erik holds a Master in Energy Science and Technology from ETH Zurich and a Bachelor degree from RWTH Aachen University. In his free time he enjoys sports, yoga and meditation.
Dr. Christoph Birkholz Founder – Partnerships Christoph is co-founder of the Impact Hub Zürich, the largest entrepreneurial and innovation community in Switzerland. He leads the Kickstart Accelerator and co-founded and internationalised the Impact Hub Fellowship, a support program for founders in the field of sustainability. Christoph is also a Director of Panter AG and a member of Sandbox and Alumnus of the Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum. Christoph holds a doctorate in Impact Investing and Entrepreneurship from the Universität St. Gallen and teaches Social Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship at the Business School Lausanne and University of St.Gallen. Christoph is a passionate surfer.
Tim Schläpfer Investment Office Tim has the financial markets in his blood and deals with shares, companies and their business models on a daily basis. Before joining Yova, after several years of professional experience, he founded torck capital management, an asset manager specialising in alternative investments. Previously, Tim gained more than 6 years of experience in investment management at RBR Capital Advisors, UBS Investment Bank and Credit Suisse. Tim studied in Switzerland and Brazil and holds a Master in Banking & Finance from the University of St. Gallen. He is an endurance athlete, a skier and a terrible golfer.
Elias Bräm Investment Office Elias loves to meet challenges with clean and effective solutions. Before Yova, he worked for Swiss Prime Site. As an assistant to the account and finance chair of the University of Zurich, he supported finance research and held lectures. Besides his personal investments and his bachelor in Banking & Finance, he managed customer assets over two years during the portfolio management program in Zurich. In his free time, he loves board sports and is most likely found somewhere on the water.
Christian Ketterer Investment Office Christian studies Master Banking & Finance at the University of St. Gallen. After completing his Bachelor degree at the University of Mannheim with a semester abroad at the National University of Singapore he gained experience and knowledge in the financial sector at McKinsey & Company. He also led tutorials on accounting and finance during his degree. Grown up in a small village in the Black Forest, sustainability is particularly important to him. He plants and harvests his own currants and raspberries and enjoys almost any outdoor activity.
Jacqueline Adriano Product Designer Jacqueline is a product designer who oversees the end-to-end UX at Yova. In addition to this, she is a UX Mentor for the Open Bank Project, an open API platform for fintech startups as well as incumbents. She has over 10 years of experience in both the UK and Switzerland in creating evidence-driven designs for companies in the financial services sector as well as the investment banking and commodities trading sectors. She holds a degree from the State University of New York, FIT specialising in Advertising and Communications design. In her free time, she is an avid backcountry skier and enjoys spending as much time in nature as possible.
Roman Burkard Customer Success Manager Roman gains energy from connecting to people. Prior to joining Yova, he worked as a sales consultant for DQ Solutions where he later joined the marketing team as statistician. He further collected experience in agile project management while taking care of the smart home customers at Swisscom. He studied in Zurich and Barcelona where he attained a degree in Banking and Finance. Roman can be seen in various street workout spots practicing his calisthenics skills.
Anna Burch Customer Success Sustainability is something Anna feels very strongly about. Before Yova, she worked at a sustainable consulting company where she gained experience in the field of Public Relations. As a freelance journalist she was writing for different regional newspapers and engaged herself in various environmental associations. Anna studied in St. Gallen and Barcelona and holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs. In her free time, she likes to head out into nature to hike, ski or do yoga.
Celeste Gorrell Anstiss Marketing Manager Celeste is working to ensure that as many people as possible can benefit from Impact Investing with Yova. Before joining the Yova team, Celeste ran her own social media & marketing business. She has a Bachelor of Communications degree from Auckland University of Technology and worked as a journalist for the New Zealand Herald, before becoming a public relations (PR) consultant at Bayleys. Celeste loves the great outdoors, particularly skiing and swimming in the ocean.
Sabrina Wirz Communications Manager Sabrina tackles marketing and communication projects to mainstream impact investing. Before joining Yova, she was working as Head of Communications at PET-Recycling Schweiz. Prior to that, Sabrina spent 5 years in London and was lastly responsible to build up Digital Marketing for start-up Atlantic Therapeutics. Sabrina graduated from SAWI Academy for Marketing and Communication and holds a degree in Corporate Communication and Public Relations. In her free time, Sabrina is visiting family and friends in Paris and London and likes experimenting with Street Workout.
Sergi Armengol Senior Software Engineer Prior to Yova, Sergi worked for two years at IEstrategic, a software-as-a-service company. At the same time, Sergi has created an interactive art collection to combine education and technology for young people. Sergi holds a degree in Computer Science from Pompeu Fabra University and a Master in Digital Art from IDEC Master University. In his free time Sergi likes to attend live music events and spends his time in Swiss nature.
Lenka Horakova Senior Front-end Developer Lenka is a specialist in graphic design and front-end development. Before joining Yova, she worked at Red Hat and Sygic Travel as a front-end developer. She holds a degree from Masaryk University in Applied Informatics - Computer Science specialising in Graphic Design and Multimedia. Lenka is a coffee connoisseur and enjoys to relax in her free time with YouTube, Netflix or PlayStation.
Andreas Reinhart is an entrepreneur with many years of diverse finance experience. As a former member of the Board of Directors of UBS, he is an expert in the large banking and financial industry. Andreas would like to contribute to making the industry more forward-looking and socially responsible. He was co-founder of VZ Holding (Vermögenszentrum) and owner of Volkart Holding, a leading international trading company. He is also involved in intergenerational projects and other impact startups.
Rolf has many years of experience in growing and leading innovative companies with sustainable business models. From 1996 until 2016 he served as CEO to the Swiss mountaineering equipment provider Mammut. Today, Rolf serves on the board of several companies such as the insurance company Mobiliar, the car sharing cooperative Mobility, the outdoor apparel provider Fenix Outdoor International AG (known for its Fjällräven Brand) and the e-commerce company brack.ch. Rolf is a passionate cyclist and loves outdoor sports.
Isabelle is a fervent sustainability professional. As Head of Climate Change & Sustainability at KMPG for many years, she is knowledgeable about the interplay of sustainability and performance in many international companies companies. In addition, she developed impact investing portfolios for private clients at Globalance Bank and is an impact investor herself.
Björn is an entrepreneur and operational investor with many years of experience in finance and digitisation. As a shareholder and partner, Björn helped to build etventure from 12 to almost 300 employees until its sale to EY. Björn developed his passion for sustainable finance during his time at the Swiss bank Vontobel, where he worked for several years on various financial innovations after completing his studies in mechanical engineering. Björn holds an MBA from the University of St. Gallen and completed the Impact Investing Program at Harvard University.
Timo is one of the leading experts on the interaction of sustainability, finance and management. He teaches at the University of Hamburg and the ETH Zurich and conducts research in the areas of sustainable finance, corporate sustainability and business strategy and the environment. Timo is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth at the University of Zurich.
Falko is an impact investing activist, researcher and entrepreneur. He is the Managing Director of the Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth (CSP) of the University of Zurich and co-head of the UHNW Next Gen Impact Investing Program at CSP and Harvard University. He is also an Associate Partner at Contrast Capital Sustainable Investment Solutions. Falko has been a sustainability analyst at Vontobel Bank for many years and is founder and global president of the GreenBuzz sustainability network.
Dr. Tom Ludescher is an experienced CEO and InsurTech expert with twenty years of industry expertise and an extensive background in strategy and management functions of insurance and technology companies. Based in Singapore, he serves as a board or advisory board member of several tech companies active in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the US. Tom has been a visiting lecturer for insurance related topics in Singapore and Switzerland for the past 15 years and holds a Ph.D. in insurance regulations from the University of St. Gallen HSG.
